The Most Wonderful Time of the Year (for a Horticulturist)

Spring time in Texas! Leaves budding on trees, flowers in bloom, grass is beginning to green and every highway from Texas to Oklahoma is blanketed with wildflowers. These native wildflowers make not being able to breath and your car, clothing, etc being covered in greenish-yellow pollen all the better.

Sissy didn't like the bluebonnets. They are not soft, plush plants. They're prickly!

Bluebonnets are beautiful. I never realized they were prickly. I haven't come in contact with them. I am in Connecticut. I should go to Texas sometime and see those.
