5 days without power = cranky twins!

Well, we made it! We had power up until 4:30 Saturday morning, which was surprising for us. Someone sneezes around here & the lights go out! Luke and I were attempting to sleep and did until 5:30 when we heard a big crash. Luke went outside (yes, in the middle of the hurricane!) and said that a tree from the lot next door landed on the house, but the house was ok. We went back to bed until 7:30 when the babies woke up. I let them sleep in our room in their pack 'n plays just to be safe.

After Ike finally blew thru we fired up the generator and portable a/c we bought last minute and headed upstairs to our bonus room. We camped out up there along with the Goff's and Terrell's cousin and her family. They slept over Saturday night and decided they had enough and booked it to Houston to one of their friend's house who had power.

Shelly & Larry came over Sunday night and stayed. Thank God a cool front blew in so it wasn't miserable for us to start cleaning up the yard. We had 4 trees down and no damage to the house.
Last night we finally got our power back, and we are trying to sink back into our normal daily routine.
