We've been taking advantage of the warm weather and playing outside. Brooke is Miss Independent and wants to do everything herself. This is a good thing...however, it takes her a long time to do a simple task. I believe this little angel was put on this earth to help her mommy & daddy be more patient.

There is one good outcome to Brooke's hospitalization (besides her health). Her speech has improved. Well, her use of sounds has improved. She has started screaming (and I mean screaming and pointing at everything! Aaaaaa....is her favorite sound. Which is not good when we're out in public. She has some words. Her words include: book, baby, bye bye, Dada, and Dora! Dora is a new word for her and it sounds more like Ooorraa.
We went to our new cardiologist today for Brooke's annual check up. She got and EKG & an ECHO. The doctor (and I) was very pleased with the results. Her PDA is still there, but is small, which means it has closed a little since birth. The PFO is gone!!! The VSD is still there, but the holes are very, very small which means they are closing on their own. WOO HOO! He wants to see her back in a year to check on the PDA. If it's still there he wants to close it. He doesn't want her to go to school with it open. Her PDA is the valve that is open from her lungs to her heart. So, if she were to get a bacterial infection in her lungs (like Pneumonia) it could get into her heart. Which is very, very scary!

Congratulations! 2 - you all did it. It's an achievement I know. Your twins are just gorgeous. My little girl loves babies and cars too.
